Mark activities as complete in Schoolwork
Activities are the tasks your teacher assigns to you as part of a Handout. For example, your teacher might send you and your entire class a Handout with instructions to watch an attached video, submit an essay or complete an activity in an app, that provides student progress data.
When student progress data collection is enabled and you complete an activity your teacher assigned in a Handout, all available progress data is shared with you and your teacher. The progress-reporting app automatically sends information about how you are doing as you complete the activity in the app (for example, time spent on the activity, the percentage completed, quiz scores, hints used or points earned). The data available depends on the type of activity, and is defined by the app developer. For other activities (for example, a link or PDF), you and your teacher only see whether or not you marked the activity as complete. When your teacher requests an item or gives you a copy of a file to work on, you and your teacher see whether or not you marked the item as complete, as well as the work you submitted.
Mark an activity as complete
In the Schoolwork app , do one of the following in the dashboard:
Tap a Handout in the Due Next 7 Days section.
Tap a class, then tap a Handout in the Due Next 7 Days section, the Due Later section or See All.
Tap for the activity you want to mark complete.
Schoolwork displays to indicate that your work is complete (Done). When you complete all activities in a Handout, the Handout is complete and Schoolwork moves it from the class view to Completed or Closed Handouts. If you change your mind and decide that you are not done with the activity, you can de-select .
Progress-reporting apps can also automatically mark an activity Done. In this case, when you complete all activities in the app, Schoolwork displays a message confirming the progress-reporting app is marking the activity Done.
Note: Schoolwork does not report progress when you do an activity outside an assigned Handout. You can still mark the activity as complete, but if you finish it before your teacher assigns it in a Handout, Schoolwork does not report your progress data. For example, if your teacher assigns you a Handout activity to read Chapter 1 of a book and you read Chapter 2 as well, Schoolwork only reports your progress for Chapter 1. If your teacher later assigns you a new Handout activity to read Chapter 2, you can mark the activity complete. However, unless you read Chapter 2 again, no progress data is reported for that chapter.
