template
A template is a model document that you can use as a starting point for your own document. You choose a template from the template chooser when you create a new document.
Most templates include placeholder text, images and other objects you replace with your own content. These placeholders make it easy to add your own content without having to format it. You can modify the template however you like (for example, by deleting objects, adding your own images and text, and so on). You can also add additional pages. After you begin creating your document, you can’t switch to a different template.
Note: Some placeholder text is written in lorem ipsum, Latin text that’s scrambled so it has no meaning. When you add your own text, it appears in the language you use for your computer or for any language-specific input devices.
