If Siri isn’t working on your iPhone or iPad
Check a few settings on your iPhone or iPad to make sure Siri is set up to listen for your voice and respond to your requests.
Turn on “Siri” or “Hey Siri”
Go to Settings.
Tap Apple Intelligence & Siri > Talk & Type to Siri, or Siri > Talk & Type to Siri.
Make sure “Siri” or “Hey Siri” is turned on. If it’s already on, turn it off and back on again.

Restart your device. If Apple Intelligence & Siri or Siri & Search doesn’t appear in Settings after your device has restarted, check your VPN settings. Some VPN profiles may not allow use of Siri.
Set up Siri to recognise your voice
Go to Settings.
Tap Apple Intelligence & Siri > Talk & Type to Siri, or Siri > Talk & Type to Siri.
Turn off Listen for “Siri” or “Hey Siri”, then turn it back on.
When the Siri setup screen appears, tap Continue.
Say each command you see on your screen.
Tap Done.

If you can’t hear Siri
Go to Settings.
Tap Apple Intelligence & Siri.
Tap Siri Responses.
Tap Prefer Spoken Responses to hear Siri speak responses, even when Silent mode is turned on.

You can also change Siri’s speaking volume and speed.
Update your software
Siri requires iOS 7 or later. If your device is using an older operating system, update the software on your iPhone or iPad to continue using Siri.
