Find your Favourites and albums in Photos on your iPhone or iPad

Find out how to locate your albums and favourite collections in Photos in iOS 18.

Find your Favourites

  1. Open Photos.

  2. Scroll down to Pinned Collections.

  3. Tap Favourites.

You can also customise your pinned collections to add other albums you use often.

Find your videos and other media types

  1. Open Photos.

  2. Scroll down to Media Types.

  3. Tap a collection, such as Videos or Selfies, or tap Media Types to see more.

You can also open Videos and other media types from your Pinned Collections.

Find your Recently Deleted, Hidden and more

  1. Open Photos.

  2. Scroll down to Utilities.

  3. Tap a collection, such as Recently Deleted or Hidden, or tap Utilities to see more.

Find your albums

  1. Open Photos.

  2. Scroll down to Albums.

  3. Tap the album you want to open, or tap Albums to see more.

Customise Pinned Collections

By default, Pinned Collections includes Favourites, Recently Saved, Map, Videos and Screenshots. You can customise what appears in Pinned Collections for quick access.

  1. Open Photos.

  2. Scroll down, then tap Pinned Collections.

  3. Tap Modify, then do any of the following:

  • Pin a collection: tap the Add buttonnull to add a suggested collection, or scroll down and tap Any Collection or Album to see more options. You can add any collection from your library, such as Recently Deleted, Selfies, Receipts or your favourite custom albums.

  • Remove a pinned collection: tap the Remove buttonnull, then tap Delete.

  • Reorder pinned collections: drag the Reorder buttonnull to move a collection into a new order.

Reorder collections

You can change the order of collections so that the items you use most frequently appear first.

  1. Open Photos.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the app, then tap Customise & Reorder.

  3. Drag the collections into a new order.
