Use Apple Vision Pro on an aeroplane or train with Travel Mode
With Travel Mode, Apple Vision Pro adapts to give you the best experience while travelling.
Apple Vision Pro uses an array of sensors to see the environment around you and keep the items in your view stable. If Apple Vision Pro senses that you’re on an aeroplane or a train, it will ask if you want to turn on Travel Mode to adapt your experience to the unique motion and environment of commercial air or train travel.
You can turn on Travel Mode when Apple Vision Pro suggests it, or manually in Control Centre.
Turn on Travel Mode when Apple Vision Pro asks
When Apple Vision Pro senses that you’re on an aeroplane or train, an alert will ask if you want to turn on Travel Mode. Just press the Digital Crown to confirm. If you don’t want to turn on Travel Mode, turn the Digital Crown to select Cancel, then press the Digital Crown.
If you see an alert that says Tracking Failed
If Apple Vision Pro has trouble tracking your surroundings, whether you’re travelling or not, its screen will go dark and a “Tracking Failed” alert will appear. The alert says “If you’re on a plane or train, use Travel Mode to stabilise visuals. If not, select cancel to recover tracking”.
If this alert appears while you’re travelling, press the Digital Crown to turn on Travel Mode. If you’re not travelling, remain stationary, select Cancel and wait until tracking recovers and you can see your surroundings.
Never use Travel Mode if you’re not on an aeroplane or train. If Apple Vision Pro asks you to turn on Travel Mode when you’re not travelling, turn the Digital Crown to select Cancel, then press the Digital Crown.
