Send your Apple Watch to Apple for a service

After you’ve contacted Apple for a service, you’ll receive a kit with everything you need to send your Apple Watch to Apple.

Prepare your Apple Watch for a service

  • If you have your iPhone, unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone

  • If you don’t have your iPhone, erase your Apple Watch.

  • Remove your watch strap

If your Apple Watch is unresponsive and you don’t have your iPhone, you can remove the cards you use with Apple Pay and turn off Apple Cash on the web at your Apple ID account page.

Pack your Apple Watch

When you pack your Apple Watch, don’t include anything else in the box – such as the watch strap or other accessories. If you do, they won’t be returned to you.

  1. With the box open, lift the cover of the compartment and remove the white bag.

  2. Place your Apple Watch in the bag, then place the bag in the compartment. Make sure the screen of your watch faces up.

  3. Close the box. If there’s a battery sticker pasted on the outside of the box, make sure the battery sticker is pasted flat on the box and isn’t covered by tape or a postage label.
