Send your iPod to Apple for a service

After you’ve contacted Apple for a service*, you’ll receive a kit that has everything you need to send your iPod to Apple.

Before you send your iPod

1. Back up your device.

   • Back up with iCloud

   • Back up with your Mac

   • Back up with your PC

2. Remove your iPod from Find My.

Pack your iPod

Don’t include anything else in the box – such as a USB cable, power adapter or other accessory. If you include extra items in the box, they won’t be returned.

1. Lift up the top piece of foam inside the box.

2. Insert your iPod into the bag, seal the bag and place it in the postage box.

3. Replace the top piece of foam so that it covers your iPod, close the postage box and seal it with the tape provided.

4. Place the battery sticker on the bottom of the box, making sure it doesn’t cover the pre-applied postage label.

5. Remove the top label from the box. This is your receipt. Make sure the return delivery label remains on the box.

Send your iPod to Apple

1. Find the name of the courier on the provided return shipping label.

2. Visit the courier’s website to schedule a pick-up or find a drop-off location.

Make sure you get a receipt to confirm that you have returned your product. Apple is not responsible for any damage sustained during delivery.
