Close tabs in Safari on Mac
When you’re surfing the web or researching a subject, you can avoid cluttering your window with multiple tabs.
In the Safari app on your Mac, place the pointer over a tab in the tab bar.
Do any of the following:
Close a tab: Click the Close button on the left side of the tab.
Close all other tabs: Control-click a tab, then choose Close Other Tabs.
Close all tabs to the right: Control-click a tab, then choose Close Tabs to the Right.
If you just opened a webpage in a new tab, you can close it immediately by clicking the Back button .
