Option | Description | ||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Using information from my contacts | Complete forms with information from any contact card in Contacts. To view or edit information, click Edit. | ||||||||||
Usernames and passwords | Save usernames and passwords you enter on websites, then easily fill in the saved information when you revisit the same websites. Click Edit to view or edit your saved information. | ||||||||||
Credit cards | Save your name as it appears on the card, the card number, expiry date and security code, then easily fill in the saved information when you use the card again. When you add a credit card in AutoFill settings, the security code is optional. When you add a previously unsaved credit card while making a purchase, the security code is required. Important: Saving the security code with your card makes purchases convenient, but anyone with access to your Mac can make purchases with the card. Click Edit to add or remove saved credit cards, or to change the information for a saved credit card. If you have cards in Wallet, they also appear in the list. See Use Wallet & Apple Pay. Note: If you set up iCloud Keychain to autofill information on your Mac and other Apple devices, you can use AutoFill to enter previously saved credit card info on all those devices. | ||||||||||
Other forms | Save information you enter on web page forms, then easily fill in the saved information when you revisit the same web pages. Click Edit to see or remove websites for which Safari has saved AutoFill information. |
If your Mac or Apple keyboard has Touch ID, you can use Touch ID to fill in usernames and passwords and to fill in credit card information. See Touch ID & Password settings.
