Translate text in a conversation in Messages on Mac
You can instantly translate messages you receive in a different language.
Note: Translation may not be available in all languages or in all countries or regions. See the macOS Feature Availability web page.
Translate text
Go to the Messages app
on your Mac.Select a conversation.
Select the text you want to translate, Control-click the text, then choose Translate.
To change the language of the text you’re translating from or to, click on the language name and choose another language in the pop-up menu.
Use Live Translation
If Apple Intelligence* is turned on, you can use it to automatically translate text in Messages. See Translate messages, calls and conversations..
