Improve handwriting recognition in Ink on Mac
If the Ink app on your Mac doesn’t recognise your handwriting, try these suggestions:
Use print instead of cursive characters, and use uppercase and lowercase letters.
Write in a straight line. To help, use the lines on the screen, or put a piece of lined paper on top of the tablet.
To compensate for your writing angle, rotate the tablet slightly.
If your handwriting isn’t what you expect, look at the tablet while writing instead of the screen.
If you’re writing a lot of text using a Wacom graphics tablet, use the tablet’s app to set Tip Feel to Firm.
If an unusual word isn’t recognised, add it to the word list in Ink preferences.
Ensure the Language setting in Ink preferences is set to the language you usually write in. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Ink. Click Language, then choose a language in the Language pop-up menu.
