With fast charge, the battery level on Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8 and Series 9 can go from 0 per cent to 80 per cent in about 45 minutes. The battery level on Apple Watch Series 10 can go from 0 per cent to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes. The battery level on Apple Watch Ultra models can go from 0 per cent to 80 per cent in about an hour.*

Fast charging may not work in conditions that are too cold or too hot. Charging will be prolonged if you keep the display on, install software updates or transfer media when charging, or if it’s the first time you’re fast charging Apple Watch after pairing with iPhone. If you have enabled mobile data capability on your Apple Watch, keep your paired iPhone within range of your Apple Watch when charging.

Fast charging requires an Apple USB-C Magnetic Fast Charging Cable. You can identify this cable from other chargers by the USB-C connector and the aluminium around the magnetic charger. If your charger has a “WPT” label on the aluminium puck, then your charger is WPT-compliant. Find out more about WPT-compliant charging.

You'll also need one of these power adapters:

  • Apple 18W, 20W, 29W, 30W, 35W, 61W, 87W or 96W USB-C Power Adapter

  • A comparable third-party USB-C power adapter that supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) of 5W or greater

If you're not sure which Apple Power Adapter you have, check the wattage on the top or bottom of the adapter:
