After installing Apple Remote Desktop 3.3 or earlier from a disc, the application may stop responding during or after setup in OS X Mavericks. Use these steps to troubleshoot.
- If Apple Remote Desktop 3 is running, quit or force quit it.
- Use the Mac App Store's Update tab to update the Apple Remote Desktop application.
- After updating, open the Apple Remote Desktop application.
- Enter the serial number that was included with your disc's inbox materials when prompted.
