Print PDFs with mixed paper sizes on Mac
To correctly print a PDF that contains pages of different paper sizes, such as a combination of letter, legal, A4 or A5, drag the PDF into the appropriate print queue in Print Centre. Your printer will then know when to start printing to each size of paper.
What you’ll need
To print to mixed paper sizes using your computer’s built-in software, you’ll need macOS Sequoia 15 or later and an AirPrint-enabled printer that supports the PDF printer language. Check your printer’s specifications to find out which languages it supports.
How to print a PDF with mixed paper sizes
Use Spotlight to find and open Print Centre. You can also open it from the Utilities folder of your Applications folder or open it as follows:
From the Apple menu , choose System Settings.
Click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar, then click your printer on the right.
Click the Printer Queue button.
If Print Centre shows more than one printer, make sure the correct printer is selected.
To send the document to the printer, drag the PDF file from the Finder into the print queue on the right-hand side of Print Centre. If you drag it to the Print Centre icon in the Finder or Dock, it will print to your default printer.
