See spending insights for your connected account in Apple Wallet

When you connect your account to your eligible debit or credit card in the Wallet app, you can view your spending history, highlights and trends, and recurring payments.

You can see your current account balance and your transaction history across all your eligible cards, including purchases that weren't made with Apple Pay, when you connect your account to your debit or credit card.

View spending highlights and trends

Highlights allow you to see your spending patterns so that you don't have to determine them yourself.

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.

  2. Tap the More button, then tap Insights to open your Spending Activity.

  3. Scroll down to Highlights.

  4. Tap See All on any highlight to see a full breakdown of your spending. Or, tap Week, Month, or Year to change the time period.

Depending on your activity, you might see:

  • Trends: your total spending and your spending in individual categories, and how your average spending has changed.

  • Averages: your average spend per day, week, month, or year.

  • Large transactions: your biggest purchases in a current period.

  • Frequent merchants: the merchants you've paid most often.

View your recurring transactions

Recurring transactions are payments that happen on a regular schedule, such as a subscription, membership, or bill. It can estimate your next charge amount and date from your transaction history with each merchant.

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet and tap your connected card.

  2. Tap the More button, then tap Recurring.

  3. Choose an option.

    • Tap Upcoming to see expected changes on a monthly calendar with the total expected amount under each date and a list of what's upcoming. Tap a date to see the charges expected that day. Tap a merchant to see its expected amount, date, and how often it repeats. Scroll down to see past charges.

    • Tap All to see every merchant that is identified as recurring and how often each charge repeats, such as Monthly, Yearly, or the next expected date.

Mark a transaction as not recurring

If a transaction appears in Recurring but isn't a recurring payment, you can remove it.

  1. In the Recurring view, tap the merchant.

  2. Scroll to the bottom, then tap Mark as Not Recurring.

See how recurring transactions are displayed

Apple Wallet predicts expected dates and amounts from your past transactions with each merchant. They're estimates, not confirmed charges, so they might not be exact and a predicted charge might not happen.

  • Amounts in the calendar are rounded. For example, $39.42 appears as $39. To see the actual amount, tap the date on the calendar.

  • Bundled subscriptions might appear together. Subscriptions billed together by Apple might appear as a single transaction labelled Apple Services, rather than as separate charges.

  • Recent changes might take time to appear. If you cancel a subscription, a transaction might keep appearing as Recurring until an expected charge is missed and no longer billed. Newly added subscriptions might not be shown right away.

  • Everyday spending might appear as recurring even when it isn't. You can mark those as not recurring.
