Delete films and TV programmes in the Apple TV app

Remove the videos you downloaded to your iPhone, iPad, Mac or PC.

Delete films and TV programmes on your iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Apple TV app.

  2. Tap Library, then tap Downloaded. If you can't see Downloaded, you may not have any items stored on your device.

  3. Swipe left on the item you want to delete, then tap Delete.

  4. Confirm when prompted.

Delete films and TV programmes on your Mac

  1. Open the Apple TV app.

  2. Click Downloaded in the sidebar to find the item you want to delete.

  3. Move your pointer over the item you want to delete, then click the More buttonNo alt supplied for Image.

  4. Click Delete from Library, then confirm when prompted.

Delete films and TV programmes on your PC

  1. Open the Apple TV app.

  2. Click the Library tab, then choose Downloaded. If Downloaded isn't in the Library tab, click the More buttonNo alt supplied for Image, then turn Downloaded on.

  3. Move your pointer over the item you want to delete, then click the More buttonNo alt supplied for Image.

  4. Click Delete from Library, then confirm when prompted.

If you can't delete your films or TV programmes

  • Hide the item: Hiding an item removes it from your Library when you're signed in with your Apple ID.

  • Turn off computer syncing: if you’ve used a USB cable to sync films or TV programmes manually from your Mac or PC to your iPhone or iPad, you can turn off syncing to remove the content from your Library.

  • Check if the item is downloaded: If you see the Download iconthe Download icon next to a movie or episode, it's been downloaded on your device. If you don't see the Download iconthe Download icon, the movie or episode hasn't been downloaded.
