Update your iPhone or iPad

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly to the latest available version of iOS or iPadOS

If an update hasn’t appeared on your device or you’re unable to update wirelessly, connect your phone to your computer to update manually:

Update your Mac

  1. Open the App Store app.

  2. Click the Updates tab at the top of the App Store window.

  3. If the App Store displays any uninstalled updates, click the Update button to install each update.

If an error prevents installing updates:

  1. Turn on your Mac and immediately press and hold Option-Command (⌘)-R until a spinning globe appears.

  2. Reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery.

If you’re using an iMac Pro and you can’t use the App Store or macOS Recovery to update your Mac, try updating again after using Apple Configurator to revive your Mac. To do that, you’ll need another Mac and a USB cable to connect them to each other. If you don’t have these items, or you need help following the instructions to revive your Mac, contact Apple Support.
