What happens to your iCloud storage when you sign up for Apple One

Apple One is designed to give you the best value for your Apple services. If you already pay for an iCloud+ plan, find out what happens when you sign up for Apple One.

If you already have an iCloud+ plan

If the iCloud storage included in Apple One is more than your current plan

  • Your current iCloud+ plan will be cancelled and you’ll receive a pro-rated refund.

  • Your total iCloud storage will be the amount included in your Apple One subscription.

  • Data stored in iCloud will not be affected.

If the iCloud storage included in Apple One is equal to your current plan

  • During the free trial, you’ll keep both your current iCloud+ plan and the iCloud storage in Apple One. After the trial has finished, your current iCloud+ plan will be cancelled.

  • Your total iCloud storage will be the amount included in your Apple One subscription.

  • Data stored in iCloud will not be affected.

If you need more iCloud storage

After you’ve subscribed to Apple One, you can buy more iCloud storage if you need more. With both Apple One and an iCloud+ plan, you can have up to 14 TB of total iCloud storage.

If you belong to a Family Sharing group

  • If a family member subscribes to an Apple One Family or Premier plan, you can choose to keep your current iCloud+ plan or use the shared iCloud storage in Apple One.

  • If your family needs additional iCloud storage, the family member who purchased Apple One can buy more iCloud storage. With both Apple One and an iCloud+ plan, your family can share up to 14 TB of total iCloud storage.
