Turn Activity History on and off
How it works
Activity History is turned on automatically when an Apple TV or HomePod in a home with the new home architecture is updated to tvOS 17.
If Activity History is turned on, and you have smart home accessories such as door locks and alarm systems in your home, activities like locking and unlocking your front door are recorded and available for you to view in the Home app.1 Find out how to add smart home accessories in the Home app.
Everyone in the home, including shared home users, can view Activity History.2
Apple cannot read the contents of Activity History because it’s end-to-end encrypted. Recorded activity will be deleted permanently after 30 days.
