About content providers and encoding houses
To use Transporter and upload content to Apple, you must have a content provider account in iTunes Connect, App Store Connect or an encoding house account.
Account type | Notes |
---|---|
Content provider | To verify and deliver content as a content provider, you must have an active account in iTunes Connect with an Admin or Technical role, or App Store Connect with an Admin, Developer or App Manager role. When you sign in as a content provider, Transporter displays your provider name at the top of the window. If your account is authorised to deliver more than one content type for multiple providers, you’ll see the All Providers pop-up menu at the top of the window. Click the All Providers pop-up menu to filter by provider name. |
Encoding house | To verify and deliver content as an encoding house, you must have an account Apple previously enabled for content delivery. When you sign in as an encoding house, Transporter displays the name of the provider you can deliver content for at the top of the window, or if you can deliver content for more than one provider, Transporter displays the All Providers pop-up menu at the top of the window. Click the All Providers pop-up menu to filter by provider name. |
Note: Depending on your iTunes Connect or App Store Connect role or your encoding house access level, you might have verify-only privileges within Transporter.
