Replace an administrator user
If you want to manage a user’s account with parental controls, but that user is the only administrator on the computer, you must create a replacement administrator first. Every Mac must have at least one administrator.
Create a second administrator. For more information, see Add a user.
Delete the first administrator. For more information, see Delete a user or group.
You can now create a new, standard user account for the person you deleted, and enable parental controls for their account. See Create a new user with parental controls.
