Reset passwords in Apple Business Manager
If users forget their password, you can reset it. Resetting their password allows them to get a temporary password, at which time they will have to create a new password for their Managed Apple ID.
In Apple Business Manager , sign in with an account that has privileges to reset passwords, generate verification codes and create sign-in information. See Role privileges.
Click Accounts in the sidebar, search for an account in the Search Accounts field, then select the account from the list. See Search for user accounts.
Click Reset Password for a single user or click Create in the Sign-Ins row.
You can download PDF and .csv files or email the temporary passwords to the selected users.
Select your method, click Continue, then do one of the following:
If you selected PDF and .csv file, click Download and choose from the following:
8-up PDF : This option creates up to eight users per page. You can cut the page into sections and distribute the appropriate section to each user.
1-up PDF : This option creates a single page for each user.
.csv: : This option creates a .csv file with five columns: the user’s Managed Apple ID; their first, middle and last name; and their temporary password.
If you selected email, Apple Business Manager sends the temporary password to the email address listed in the user’s account details. The user receives an email from Apple Business Manager with their Managed Apple ID and temporary password.
