About progress data in Schoolwork
As a student, to get the most out of Schoolwork and view your progress, make sure your school enables student progress and you’re using your school account when completing activities assigned by your teacher. You’ll be able to check how you’re progressing on individual Handout activities, as well as how you’re progressing on all Handout activities in your class.
When student progress is enabled and you complete an activity your teacher assigned in a Handout, all available progress data is shared with you and your teacher. The progress-reporting app automatically sends information about how you are doing as you complete the activity in the app (for example, time spent on the activity, the percentage completed, quiz scores, hints used, or points earned). The data available depends on the type of activity, and is defined by the app developer.
For other activities (for example, a link or PDF), you and your teacher only see whether or not you marked the activity complete. When your teacher requests an item or gives you a copy of a file to work on, you and your teacher see whether or not you marked the item complete, as well as the work you submitted.
Handouts with no activities or request for student work (for example, an announcement), don’t appear in your student progress view.
Progress data doesn’t appear instantaneously. Schoolwork takes time to process data before displaying it. In addition, Schoolwork doesn’t report progress when you use an account other than your school account or when you do an activity outside of an assigned Handout.
Note: If necessary, your school can disable reporting of student progress. To disable reporting, contact your teacher.
