About billing for Apple subscriptions and media products in India

You can add funds to your Apple Account balance, or use accepted credit or debit cards, or UPI Autopay for subscriptions.

Indian government regulations require additional steps to complete purchases and begin subscriptions. To make purchases, you might need to update your payment method.

Begin a new subscription

You can pay with UPI Autopay, accepted credit or debit cards, or pay with your Apple Account balance.*

When you set up a recurring payment for a new subscription, you might be asked to authenticate the payment method in your payment app.

Change your subscription payment method

To change your subscription payment method between UPI Autopay and an accepted credit or debit card, cancel your subscription and wait for the subscription to expire. Then, subscribe again with your preferred payment method.

If you can't use your UPI Autopay

Make sure that your bank supports UPI Autopay and your account has sufficient funds to cover your purchase. If there's an issue when you use UPI Autopay, contact your financial institution.
