GarageBand for iOS 1.2: Optimizing Jam Session network connectivity
Learn how to optimize network connectivity for your Jam Session in GarageBand for iOS.
Mixing different network connections can cause issues when trying to join a Jam Session or cause devices to play out of sync. These tips will help optimize network connectivity:
All participants in a Jam Session should use the same type of network connection: either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
If the available Wi-Fi network has high network traffic, try using Bluetooth.
If one or more participants wants to make audio recordings with the Audio Recorder, Guitar Amp, or the Sampler, using a Wi-Fi network will shorten the time needed to collect recordings.
To select a specific network connection:
Bluetooth
Open the Settings app and turn Wi-Fi off.
Tap the General section and turn Bluetooth on.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all participants.
