Change preferences in Voice Memos on Mac
In the Voice Memos app on your Mac, use Voice Memos preferences to set default options for using Voice Memos.
To change these preferences, choose Voice Memos > Preferences.
Clear Deleted | Choose how long to keep voice memos in the Recently Deleted folder. For example, if you choose After 7 Days, your voice memos are available in the folder for 7 days. After that, Voice Memos removes them. See Delete a voice memo. | ||||||||||
Audio Quality | Choose either Compressed (for lower-quality, smaller files) or Lossless (for high-quality, larger files). | ||||||||||
Location-based naming | Select this option to have voice memos automatically named based on your location. See Manage which apps can detect your Mac location. | ||||||||||
