Spotlight

Spotlight helps you quickly find things on your computer and shows suggestions from apps, files, actions, the internet, and the Clipboard. From Spotlight, you can open or copy an item, see its location, or take action. For example, you can search for and open your apps, and see suggestions from apps like Music or the App Store. There are several ways to open Spotlight:

• In the menu bar, click . (If Spotlight isn’t in the menu bar, you can add it in Menu Bar settings.)

• On the keyboard, press Command-Space bar or press the Spotlight key (if available in the row of function keys).
