Use your keyboard like a mouse with Mac
You can use your keyboard to perform many of the same actions you perform using the mouse, such as navigating to or selecting menus, icons, text boxes, lists, and items in windows and dialogs. With keyboard navigation, you can use the Tab key to move focus forward, or press the Shift and Tab keys at the same time to move focus backward.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu
, then click Shortcuts.Do any of the following:
Navigate to all controls on the screen: Select “Use keyboard navigation to move focus between controls.”
Navigate only to text boxes and lists on the screen: Deselect “Use keyboard navigation to move focus between controls.”
You can also enable Full Keyboard Access in Accessibility preferences to use the Tab key and other keys to navigate controls and items on the screen. See Navigate your Mac using Full Keyboard Access.
