If the Apple Books app isn't syncing across devices
You can sync content in the Books app with all your devices when you use iCloud. If you haven't turned on iCloud Drive or the Books feature is off, you can't access content stored in iCloud.
Before you begin
Make sure your device is updated to the latest supported version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS.
Sign in to your Apple Account on all your devices.
Make sure that you have enough iCloud storage. If you need more storage, you might need to buy iCloud+ or upgrade your current storage plan in order to access your Books content on all of your devices.
Check your iCloud settings
On iPhone or iPad
Open Settings, tap your name, then tap iCloud.
Make sure iCloud Drive is on. If it's not, tap Drive, then turn on Sync this [device].
Tap .
Tap See All or Show All, then turn on Books.
On Mac
From , choose System Settings, then click your name at the top of the sidebar.
Click iCloud, then click Drive.
Turn on Sync this Mac, then click Done.
Click See All, then turn on Books.
Check Apple Books settings
On iPhone or iPad
Open Settings, tap Apps, then tap Books.
Make sure Home and iCloud Drive are on.
On Mac
Open the Books app.
From the Books menu in the menu bar, choose Settings.
Click General, then select Home and "Collections, bookmarks, and highlights".
If you still can't see your Apple Books content on all of your devices
Check to see if you need to download your book or file. If you previously deleted a book or file, you might need to download your book or file again.
If you hid a book or file on one of your devices, you might need to unhide the book or file in order to see it again. Learn how to unhide a book in the Books app.
