Share GarageBand for iOS and Logic Pro for iPad songs to SoundCloud

To share to SoundCloud, save your song as an audio file, then upload the file using the SoundCloud app on your device.

Share your GarageBand song to SoundCloud

  1. In GarageBand on iPhone or iPad, tap Browse in the My Songs Browser.

  2. Tap Select, then tap the song you want to upload to Soundcloud. Depending on your device, you might have to tap the More button, tap Select, then tap the song.

  3. Tap the Share button.

  4. Tap Song to export the song as a stereo audio file.

  5. Choose the audio quality for the audio file. For best results, choose Uncompressed (WAV) or Uncompressed (AIFF).

  6. Enter song information, then tap Share.

  7. Tap Save to Files, choose where you want to save the audio file (like in iCloud Drive or on your device), then tap Save. Don’t choose the default GarageBand for iOS folder, where your GarageBand projects are saved by default.

  8. Open the SoundCloud app, then upload the audio file.

Share your Logic Pro for iPad song to SoundCloud

  1. In the Mixer in Logic Pro for iPad, make sure that the tracks you want to include in the export are routed to the main stereo output and are not muted.

  2. Tap the project name in the top-left corner of the screen, then tap Export.

  3. If you want to export a portion of the project, turn off Entire Project Length, then adjust the values in the Start Position and End Position fields. You can tap the fields to edit the values in the numeric input dialog.

    • If Cycle mode is on, the cycle area determines the start and end positions.

  4. Choose the file type for the exported audio file. For best results, choose Uncompressed (WAV) or Uncompressed (AIFF).

  5. To set options for the file type you’ve selected, tap the information button, then select the options. When you’re done, tap Export to return to the main Export window.

  6. To show and set additional export options, tap Processing Details, then tap Export to return to the main Export window.

  7. Tap Share.

  8. When the file is finished bouncing, tap Save to Files, choose where you want to save the audio (like in iCloud Drive or on your device), then tap Save. Don’t choose the default Logic Pro for iPad folder, where your Logic Pro projects are saved by default.

  9. Open the SoundCloud app, then upload the audio file.
