Add or change your home address in Contacts and Maps on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac

In iOS 18 and later, customize your experience by setting home or work addresses in Contacts and Maps. For example, Weather uses these addresses to provide relevant forecasts.

Set, edit, or delete your home or work address in Contacts on iOS and iPadOS

  1. In the Contacts app, tap My Card. If you haven't set this up, tap the + button and enter your information. Return to your contacts list, touch and hold your name, then tap Make This My Card.

  2. Tap Edit.

  3. Tap Add Address, then type in your information.

  4. Tap the label next to your address and choose an option like home, work, school, or other.

  5. Tap the Done button.

If you want to delete an address in Contacts, tap Edit, then tap the Delete button.

In iOS 18 and later, Weather uses the addresses that you set as home and work in Contacts to provide the most relevant weather to you. Your home and work address in Contacts is also used for autofill, Siri, and other features.

Set, edit, or delete your home or work address in Maps on iOS and iPadOS

  1. In the Maps app, scroll to Places and tap Add.

  2. Begin to type the address that you want to set as home or work, then tap the address when it's available.

  3. Scroll down to Type and tap My home, My work, My school, or another description that might appear (for example, Dance School or Shopping Center).

If you want to delete an address in Maps, touch and hold the address that you want to remove from your Places. Then, tap Unpin.

Set, edit, or delete your home or work address on macOS

  1. In the Contacts app, select Card, then select Go to My Card. If this option doesn't appear, click the + button to create a card with your information. Then select Card and choose Make This My Card.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Add your home address. To add a work address instead, click home in the menu and choose work instead. As you add an address, another address field appears.

  4. Click Done.

To delete an address on your Contacts card, select Edit, then click the delete icon. In macOS Sequoia, you can also set a home or work address in Maps that's different from those on your Contact Card.
