Use Find My on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
Find My Friends and Find My iPhone have been combined into a single app — Find My — available on iOS 13, iPadOS 13 or later. Find My helps you locate your friends and Apple devices using information stored in iCloud. If you have iOS 14.3, iPadOS 14.3 or later, you can use Find My to locate third-party items. If you have iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5 or later, you can use Find My to locate AirTags.
Share your location: you can share your location from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Once you start sharing your location, you can stop and start sharing again at any time.
Locate a friend: add friends to see their location on a map. You can also get directions to a friend’s location and contact them from the Find My app.
Set location notifications: manage location notifications using your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Automatically send notifications to friends when you arrive at or leave a specific location. Get notifications when your friends leave or arrive too.
Locate a device: See the location of your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods or Beats product on a map. Play a sound on a device to help you find it.
Mark a device as lost: if you lose a device, you can use your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to mark it as lost and help protect your personal information. Display a custom message on the lost device’s screen, telling people that the device is lost or how to find you. Once you find the device, you can turn off Lost Mode.
Erase a device: remotely erase all your personal information on a device from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Activation Lock remains on to protect the device.
Remove a device from your account: if you are no longer using a device, or you have sold it or given it away, remove it from your account so it does not appear in Find My.
Locate an item: see the location of your item on a map. Play a sound on an item to help you find it.
Mark an item as lost: if you lose an item, you can use your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to mark it as lost. You can also add a phone number that will be displayed so that anyone who finds the item can contact you to return it. Once you find the item, you can turn off Lost Mode.
Remove an item from your account: if you are no longer using an item, or you have sold it or given it away, remove it from your account so it does not appear in Find My.
