If your public transport card balance doesn't update in the Wallet app

When you add money to your public transport card in Wallet and the balance doesn't update, find out what you can do.

If your public transport card balance is wrong

First, restart your iPhone. If your balance is still wrong, follow these steps:

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.
  2. Tap your public transport card, then tap the more button More info.
  3. Turn on Service Mode, then authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
  4. To turn off Service Mode, tap the card.
  5. See if your balance has been updated.

If you don't think your transactions are accurate after turning Service Mode on or off, contact your public transport card issuer to verify them.

Make sure you were charged

Look at the transactions for the payment card that you used to add money to the public transport card that you have in the Wallet app. If you can see the charge in your transaction history, the balance on your public transport card may be correct, even if the balance in the Wallet app shows a different amount.
