Turn Apple Intelligence off or on for the Home app
By default, Apple Intelligence is on for Reduced Notifications and off for Summarise Videos. Homeowners and admins can turn either feature on or off at any time. Turning off Apple Intelligence in the Settings app also turns off both features.

Turn Reduced Notifications off or on in the Home app
Reduced Notifications provides a single alert summary instead of multiple alerts.
Open the Home app.
Tap the More
button, then tap Home Settings.Tap Apple Intelligence.
Tap Reduced Notifications to turn it off or on.
Turn Summarise Videos on or off for HomeKit Secure Video (HKSV) cameras
For eligible iCloud+ users, Summarise Videos analyses camera activity to create descriptive captions.
For all HKSV cameras:
Open the Home app.
Tap the More
button, then tap Home Settings.Tap Apple Intelligence.
Tap Summarise Videos to turn it on or off.
For a specific HKSV camera:
Open the Home app.
Tap the HKSV camera.
Tap Summarise Videos to turn it on or off.
The Home app stores all camera recordings with end-to-end encryption. Cameras that don't use Summarise Videos only analyse content on-device.
Apple Intelligence and privacy protection in the Home app
Apple Intelligence in the Home app uses on-device processing for simple requests, which means your data never leaves your device. For complex requests, Apple Intelligence uses Private Cloud Compute (PCC). Even when PCC is used, your data is never stored or accessible to Apple.
For example, here's how HKSV cameras use Apple Intelligence and PCC for Summarise Videos:
Your home devices analyse camera footage for activity.
If your home devices detect relevant activity—such as people, pets, or packages—they send the footage to PCC for further analysis.
PCC generates captions to describe the activity.
PCC sends the captions back to your home devices and permanently deletes the data from PCC.
Manage Apple Intelligence Report settings in the Home app
In Home Settings, homeowners can:
Create an Apple Intelligence Report to obtain a log of every request sent to PCC.
Change how long the Home app keeps PCC requests.
Turn off Apple Intelligence Reports.
