Turn Siri’s access to your Health app data on or off

On supported devices and in supported languages, you can give Siri access to read and write certain Health app data, such as blood pressure or body temperature. Your Health app data doesn't leave your device to complete the Siri request.

How to turn Siri's access to Health app data on or off

You can turn Siri’s access to your Health app data on or off at any time.

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Scroll down and tap Health.

  3. Tap Data Access & Devices.

In Health settings on iPhone, you can adjust settings such as Siri’s access to Health data.
  4. Tap Siri, then turn Access Health Data on or off.

In Health settings on iPhone, tap Siri to turn Siri’s access to Health app data on or off.

If you turn off Siri’s access to your Health app data and you make a request that would require Siri to access that data, Siri will prompt you to turn back on access to Health app data.

About Siri’s access to Health app data and privacy

Siri and the Health app are designed to protect your privacy. The information you add about yourself in the Health app is yours to use and share. You can decide what information is placed in the Health app as well as who can access your data.

  • Your Health app data is encrypted on your device with a passcode.

  • Your Health app data won’t leave your device to complete your Siri request.

  • If Siri doesn’t recognise your request as a request to read or write Health app data, Siri will treat the request with the default behaviour and any health information that you include in the request will be sent to Apple servers.
