You can block phone numbers, contacts and email addresses on your device. You can also filter iMessages from unknown senders and report iMessages that look like spam or junk mail.
There are a few ways you can block phone numbers, contacts and email addresses.
From the Phone app, tap Recents, then tap the phone number or contact you want to block or in Classic view. Scroll down, then tap Block Caller.
From the FaceTime app, tap the phone number, contact or email address you want to block. Scroll down, then tap Block Caller.
From the Messages app, open the conversation and tap the contact at the top of the conversation. Scroll down, then tap Block Caller.
From the Mail app, open the email that has the contact you want to block. Tap the contact at the top and tap View Contact Card. Then tap Block this Contact.
Open the Settings app.
Tap Privacy & Security.
Tap Blocked Contacts.
Tap Add Blocked Contact, then enter the contact you want to block.
Tap Block Contact.
When you block a phone number or contact, they can still leave a voicemail, but you won’t get a notification. Messages that are sent or received won't be delivered. Also, the contact won't receive a notification that the call or message was blocked. When you block an email address from Mail, it goes to the Bin folder. Email blocking works across all of your Apple devices.
Open the Settings app.
Tap Privacy & Security.
Tap Blocked Contacts.
Tap Edit, or tap the Unknown contacts, then tap Edit.
Tap the delete button next to the contact you want to unblock.
Tap Unblock.
