If your Apple TV has no sound
Find out what to do if you have video but no audio on your Apple TV device.
Try following these steps first
Check if your issue has been resolved after each step.
Unplug both ends of your HDMI cable, then plug them back in firmly.
Try using a different HDMI cable. For HDMI 2.1, use an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable. For HDMI 2.0, use a Premium High Speed HDMI cable.
Turn off your TV and unplug your Apple TV from power. Plug your Apple TV back in to power, then turn on your TV again. If you’re using an AV or speaker receiver, unplug them from power and then plug them back in.
If you’re using an HDMI switch or a receiver, try connecting your Apple TV directly to your TV instead of to your switch or receiver. If the issue is resolved, consult your HDMI switch or receiver manufacturer for help.
Go to Apple TV Settings, select Video and Audio, select Audio Format, turn on Change Format and select a different audio format. You can also try turning off Continuous Audio.
Go to Apple TV Settings, select Video and Audio, and set Audio Mode to 16 bit. If you’re using TV speakers, a soundbar or a receiver for audio, set Audio Output to Apple TV.
Turn off volume levelling or other audio-processing controls on your TV or receiver. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, consult your TV or receiver manufacturer for help.
