Find saved passwords and passkeys on your Mac
Find, change or delete saved passwords and passkeys on your Mac, and keep them updated across all of your devices.
View saved passwords and passkeys in Passwords
To use the Passwords app, update to macOS Sequoia.
Open the Passwords app.
Sign in with Touch ID or enter your user account password.
Select an account.
To update a password, click Edit, change it, then click Save.
To delete a password or passkey, click Delete Password or Delete Passkey.
View saved passwords and passkeys in macOS Sonoma or earlier
If your Mac has macOS Sequoia, use the Passwords app. If your Mac has macOS Sonoma or earlier, you can find your saved passwords and passkeys in System Settings and Safari.

Choose Apple menu > System Settings.
Click Passwords.
Sign in with Touch ID or enter your user account password.
Select an account, then click the Show Details button
.To update a password, click Edit, change it, then click Save.
To delete a password or passkey, click Delete Password or Delete Passkey.
View saved passwords and passkeys in Safari
Open Safari.
From the Safari menu, choose Settings, then click Passwords.
Sign in with Touch ID or enter your user account password.
Select a website, then click the Show Details button
.
To update a password, click Edit, change it, then click Save.
To delete a password or passkey, click Delete Password or Delete Passkey.
Ask Siri to find saved passwords
Get Siri’s attention, then say something like “Show my passwords”.
If you can’t find a saved password or passkey
Make sure you’re viewing all of your passwords and passkeys. In the Passwords app, make sure to select All. In macOS Sonoma, the System Settings screen should say Passwords at the top, rather than the name of a Shared Group or My Passwords.
Check your Recently Deleted: In the Passwords app, choose Deleted. In macOS Sonoma, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click Passwords, then click Recently Deleted.
If you have multiple Apple devices, make sure iCloud Keychain is turned on.
When you move a password or passkey to a Shared Group, that password or passkey will only be visible on devices with compatible software. If you can’t find a saved password or passkey that you’ve moved to a shared group on another device, make sure your Mac has macOS Sonoma or later.
