Connect a third-party Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone or iPad

Pair a Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone or iPad to stream music and videos, make calls, and more.

Pair a Bluetooth accessory

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth.

  2. Under My Devices, look for the accessory you want to pair. If you don't see it listed, consult the accessory's manual or online instructions about how to make a device discoverable in Bluetooth.

  3. Tap the name of your accessory when it appears. You may need to enter your PIN or passcode. If you need help, consult the accessory's manual or online instructions again.

  4. Repeat these steps to pair multiple Bluetooth accessories. If you have multiple Bluetooth devices paired with your device, you can choose which audio source to use.

Unpair a Bluetooth accessory

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth.

  2. Tap the More Info buttonNo alt supplied for Image next to the device you want to unpair. When you unpair an accessory, it unpairs on all devices signed in to your Apple Account.

  3. Tap Forget this Device. This removes the accessory from your list of available Bluetooth devices, but you can repeat the steps to add it at any time.
