If edits don’t appear in photos imported into Final Cut Pro for Mac
To import photos that include edits made with the Photos app into Final Cut Pro version 10.6.2 or later for Mac, export the photos from the Photos app, then import them into Final Cut Pro.
When you import a photo that you’ve edited in the Photos app into Final Cut Pro, the unmodified original will be imported into Final Cut Pro. Any edits you made to the photo in the Photos app don’t appear in the photo in Final Cut Pro.
To import the photo with the edits included, first export the photo from the Photos app on your Mac.
Select the photo in the Photos app on your Mac, choose File > Export, then choose Export 1 Photos.
Select the file type and other export options, then click Export. Find out more about export options in the Photos app
Choose where to save the exported photo file, then click Export.
Import the photo into Final Cut Pro from your Mac. You can import the photo with the Media Import window or drag the photo from the Finder.
