About activities and progress data in Schoolwork
Schoolwork displays different progress data for the activities your teachers assign.

For an activity in a progress-reporting app, the app automatically sends information as you work on the activity in the app. For document and link activities, Schoolwork automatically sends information (time spent) as you complete the activity. At a minimum, every activity that supports progress reporting sends time spent.
For an exit ticket activity, Schoolwork automatically sends information (time spent and number of questions answered) as you complete the activity.
For other activities (for example, a hand-in request or entire app), you and your teacher only see whether or not you marked the activity as done.
When you open an app with an assigned activity, a message appears to let you know the app is sending your activity progress to Schoolwork.
Progress data | Notes |
---|---|
Percentage | For activities that report a progress percentage, Schoolwork displays the progress you made across all your attempts. |
Score | For activities that report a score, Schoolwork displays your score, based on your most recent attempt. Schoolwork computes scores as the percentage of the points you earned out of the total points possible. |
Count | For activities that report a total count, Schoolwork displays the count of points you earned, based on your most recent attempt. Activities can send count categories such as hints used, star points, badges earned or questions answered. |
Binary | For activities that report binary information (information with only two values), Schoolwork displays your result, based on your most recent attempt. Activities can send binary categories such as Yes/No, True/False, Pass/Not Yet or Correct/Incorrect. |
None | For activities that do not report progress data, Schoolwork displays whether or not you tapped Mark Done for the activity, but no additional data is reported. |
