About Apple Card payment assistance

If you’re having trouble making monthly payments, experiencing financial hardship, or have been impacted by a natural disaster, you may be eligible for a payment assistance plan.

Whether you need temporary payment relief or are dealing with a long-term hardship, Apple Card payment assistance plans can help reduce financial stress. Several plans are available, depending on the type of financial relief you're looking for.

Payment assistance plans may help you to:

  • Defer or reduce monthly payments

  • Reduce interest charges

  • Prevent your account from going further past due

  • Regain spending privileges on your Apple Card

  • Pay off your entire account balance over time with no interest

Plan terms and lengths vary based on eligibility and your individual needs.

See if you're eligible for a payment assistance plan

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap Apple Card.

  2. Tap the More button, then tap Account Details.

  3. Tap the Message button, then enter something like, "I would like to learn more about payment assistance plan options."

When to enroll in a payment assistance plan

If you're having difficulty making payments, enrolling in a payment assistance plan can help prevent your Apple Card account from becoming or going further past due. If your account goes past due, you will pay more in interest and it will take longer to pay off your balance.

Goldman Sachs Bank USA may report information about your account to the credit reporting bureaus. Enrollment in a payment assistance plan, late payments, missed payments, and defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report.

What to expect after enrolling in a payment assistance plan

A confirmation email with program details is sent to the email address associated with your Apple Account.* To remain enrolled in a payment assistance plan, continue making the agreed-upon payments described during plan enrollment and in your confirmation email.

You can set up automatic payments in the Wallet app to make sure that you never miss a payment. You can also contact an Apple Card Specialist to make a one-time payment.

To access and use all Apple Card features and products available only to Apple Card users, you must add Apple Card to Wallet on an iPhone or iPad that supports and has the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.
