Removal

  1. Place the enclosure in the repair tray with the Lightning connector facing the cutout.

  2. Put on the gloves to prevent contamination of the camera lenses.

  3. Use ESD-safe tweezers to lift the ends of the three TrueDepth camera flex cables off the connectors.

    • Note: One TrueDepth camera flex cable covers the third flex cable.

  4. Use the flat end of the black stick to separate the adhesive between the TrueDepth camera flex cables and the enclosure as shown.

  5. Gently hold the TrueDepth camera flex cables together. Then lift the TrueDepth camera assembly at a 45-degree angle to disengage the grounding pin on the left.

  6. Slide the TrueDepth camera assembly out of the enclosure.

Reassembly

  5. Tilt the top edge of the TrueDepth camera assembly under the lip of the enclosure and to the right.

  6. Gently slide the left side of the TrueDepth camera assembly under the lip of the enclosure to engage the grounding pin.

  7. Inspect the TrueDepth camera assembly to ensure that the top edge of the TrueDepth camera is under the lip of the enclosure and the grounding pin is flush with the enclosure.

  8. Press the ends of the three TrueDepth camera flex cables to the connectors.

  9. Lightly press the TrueDepth camera flex cables on the areas shown to adhere the flex cables into place.
