Delete a voice memo on your Mac
Delete recordings you no longer need.
Delete a voice memo
In the Voice Memos app on your Mac, select the recording in the sidebar you want to delete.
Choose Edit > Delete or press Delete.
If you have a trackpad or a Magic Mouse, swipe left with two fingers, then click Delete.
Unless you set preferences to clear deleted recordings immediately, they’re available for the specified amount of time in the Recently Deleted folder located in the sidebar. When a deleted recording is permanently deleted, it’s removed from all of your devices where you’re signed in with the same Apple ID and Voice Memos is turned on in iCloud preferences. Recover a voice memo from Recently Deleted
In the Voice Memos app on your Mac, click Recently Deleted, then select the recording to recover.
Click the Recover button in the upper-right corner.
To restore all deleted voice memos, click Recover All at the bottom of the sidebar.
Permanently erase a voice memo from Recently Deleted
In the Voice Memos app on your Mac, click Recently Deleted, then select the recording to permanently erase it.
Click the Delete button in the upper-right corner.
If you have a trackpad or a Magic Mouse, swipe left with two fingers, then click Delete.
To erase all deleted voice memos, click Delete All at the bottom of the sidebar.
