Add a Navigo card to Apple Wallet

Add a Navigo card to the Wallet app on your iPhone or Apple Watch to ride transit in Paris, France.

Here's what you need to ride transit in Paris using Apple Pay1:

  • An iPhone XS or later or an iPhone SE (2nd generation) or later.

  • An Apple Watch Series 6 or later or an Apple Watch SE (2nd generation) or later paired with a compatible iPhone.

  • The latest version of iOS and watchOS.

  • An Apple ID signed into iCloud.2

  • A credit or debit card that you've added to your Wallet app.

How to add a Navigo card in Apple Wallet

Add a Navigo card on your iPhone

  1. In the Wallet app, tap the Add button .

  2. Tap Transit Card.

  3. Choose the transit card that you want to add, or search by location or card name.

  4. Tap Continue.

  5. Choose a pass to purchase.3

  6. Follow the steps on the screen to confirm your purchase and add your Navigo card.

Passes or tickets offered in the Wallet app might vary from transit agency apps.

Add a Navigo card on your Apple Watch

  1. On your Apple Watch, open the Wallet app.

  2. Scroll down and tap Add Card.

  3. Tap Transit Card.

  4. Choose the transit card that you want to add.

  5. Tap Continue.

  6. Choose a pass to purchase.

  7. Follow the steps on the screen to confirm your purchase and add your Navigo card.

How to use your Navigo card

You can tap your Navigo card wherever physical Navigo cards are accepted. Your first Navigo card in the Wallet app is automatically set to express mode.4

How to buy and reload passes or tickets

Once you've added your Navigo card to the Wallet app, you can buy more passes or tickets directly in Apple Wallet. You can also use transit agency apps to buy passes and add them to your Navigo card in the Wallet app.

Passes or tickets offered might vary depending on which passes or tickets are already on your card.

Buy new passes or tickets

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.

  2. Choose the Navigo card that you want to add value to.

  3. Tap the More button  .

  4. Tap Buy Passes.

  5. Choose the pass you want to purchase.

  6. Follow the steps on the screen to confirm your purchase.

Reload passes or tickets that you've already used

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.

  2. Choose the Navigo card that you want to add value to.

  3. Tap Buy More.

  4. Tap Buy.

  5. Follow the steps on the screen to confirm your purchase and add value to your card.

How to transfer your Navigo card between devices

You can have a Navigo card in the Wallet app on only one device at a time, but you can move your card between devices.

Transfer your Navigo card from your iPhone to your Apple Watch

  1. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.

  2. In the My Watch tab, tap Wallet & Apple Pay.

  3. Tap the Add button next to the card that you want to move.

  4. You can also select Add Card to view a list of previous cards from your other devices.

"Paris 2024" passes can't be transferred between devices at this time.5

Transfer your Navigo card to a new device using Setup Assistant

  1. In Setup Assistant on your new iPhone, tap Wallet.

  2. Select the transit card that you want to transfer from your previous device.

  3. Tap Continue to confirm that you want to transfer your transit card to your new device.6

Transfer your Navigo card using the Wallet app

  1. On your new iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap the Add button .

  2. Tap Previous Cards and choose your transit card.

  3. Follow the steps on the screen to add your transit card to the new iPhone.6

Your previous device must be nearby and connected to the internet in order to complete the transfer to your new device. If your devices aren't near each other, you'll need to manually remove your card to transfer it to your new device.

How to remove your Navigo card

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.

  2. Tap your transit card.

  3. Tap the More button  , then tap Card Details.

  4. Scroll down and tap Remove this Card. Tap Remove to confirm.

  1. Apple Pay isn't available for children under 13. Age varies by country or region.

  2. If you sign out of iCloud or turn off Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode on your iPhone or Apple Watch, all credit, debit, and transit cards are removed from that device. When you remove a transit card from any device, the remaining balance will be stored and available to be transferred to the same or another iPhone or Apple Watch that is connected to a network and signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID.

  3. Tickets and daily passes may be purchased directly in Wallet. To add a Navigo Weekly and/or Monthly pass to your Navigo card in Wallet, you need to purchase the pass via the Ile-de-France Mobilités app. For a list of tickets not eligible to purchase or use in Wallet, see the Ile-de-France Mobilités website.

  4. Express Mode is not available on some buses as marked, and you must authenticate to validate your ticket in Wallet on those buses.

  5. Your "Paris 2024" pass is not transferrable between devices. If you transfer a Navigo card with a "Paris 2024" pass to another device, you'll receive a refund for any remaining value from your "Paris 2024" pass.

  6. Once transfer is complete, the previous card will remain visible in the Wallet app with an indication that the card can't be used.
