Managed Apple Account
Like any Apple Account, Managed Apple Accounts are used to sign in to a personal or shared device. They’re also used to access Apple services—including iCloud and when collaborating in the iWork apps and the Notes app—and Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager. Managed Apple Accounts are designed to meet the needs and legal requirements of organizations. Using them, organizations can control password resets, limit purchases and communications, and manage permissions based on a person’s role. (For example, the roles of administrators and staff can use Managed Apple Accounts to sign in to the Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager web portal.)
Note: Managed Apple Accounts don’t support Family Sharing.
