If you can't change the location of service data in Server in macOS Big Sur

Before you change the location of service data in Server in macOS Big Sur, make sure that Server has full disk access.

This article is intended for enterprise and education network administrators.

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click Privacy.
  2. Click Full Disk Access.
  3. Click the lock , then enter your administrator password.
  4. Click the Add button , then choose the Server app. If Server is open, you're asked to quit and reopen the app.

You can now open Server and change the location of service data.
