New in Logic Pro 10.3.3
New Features/Enhancements
Logic Pro now supports up to 36 cores.
Sculpture and Amp Designer are now optimized for iMac Pro, and deliver up to 12 times the performance compared to previous versions.
Sculpture offers a new high-definition mode that provides higher string resolution.
Stability and Reliability
Loops, Channel Strip settings and other content are again available on Macs using APFS (Apple File System), and on which Logic 8 or Logic 9 had been installed prior to Logic Pro.
Logic no longer quits unexpectedly:
Sometimes when user loops created in Logic Pro 10.0.7 - 10.1.1 are dragged into the Tracks area.
When adjusting the left corner off a region in projects that contain an Environment Macro that includes a Sysex fader.
When the Enter key is pressed to start a bounce while the mouse is being used to adjust the start or end point of the bounce.
When the Tracks menu is selected while the Audio File Editor is open with no audio region loaded.
When Repeat Section is used on a region in an Electronic Drummer track.
When previewing audio in the Audio Bin after enabling Transient Editing in the Audio File Editor.
Sometimes when on a MacBook Pro with Touch Bar the Shift key is used to add to the region selection in the Tracks area where the Score window has focus.
When the Shift and Option keys are used while adjusting the length of notes in an independent Event List window.
Sometimes when inserting Program Change events into the Piano Roll in MIDI Draw view.
When right-clicking a line break in the Score.

Logic no longer sometimes hangs when the "Convert Sustain Pedal to Note Length" Score function is used.
Plug-ins
Sidechain detection is no longer delayed when the side chain source is a Software Instrument track in Live Mode.
Latency compensation now works reliability with plug-ins inserted as Dual Mono or Multichannel.
Amp Designer no longer sometimes changes gain unexpectedly after stopping or repositioning the Playhead.
Tracks that include MIDI plug-ins again play back when frozen.
Scripter now reliably transmits MIDI events on time in scripts that start with a Needs TimingInfo = true statement.
Software Instrument tracks that include a Scripter plug-in no longer sometimes reset the instrument to a default sound when the project is reloaded or the audio driver is relaunched.
Tracks using the EXS24 Coffee Shop Percussion or Latin Percussion instruments now play in sync when triggered by the Scripter “Drum Probability Sequencer” script.
Alchemy
Alchemy no longer fails to show its installed Library in certain very rare cases.
Editing
The Piano Roll now reliably shows velocity bars on notes the first time it is opened after recording MIDI into a new project.
The Piano Roll again shows MIDI notes as they are being recorded.
The length display of notes in the Event List is now reliably correct in projects that include time signature changes.
The Step Editor now updates immediately as notes are moved using the Finger Tool.
Vertical Auto-zoom again works correctly in the Audio Track Editor.
The keystroke combination to temporarily limit dragging to one direction in the Piano Roll again works as expected.
Roland U-110 synth modules no longer display a check sum error when an associated Sysex Fader in the Environment is adjusted.
It is again possible to create velocity ramps in MIDI Draw that maintain the existing relative values of note velocities.
Accessibility
It is again possible to modify the start and end time of a bounce using Voiceover
The VoiceOver cursor now reliably remains functional when shortening a region at all zoom levels.
Navigating into an open Take Folder with VoiceOver no longer causes a continuous system beep.
Switching from the Main Window Piano Roll to the Score with Voiceover no longer causes the editor to close.
Using the Shift key with the cursor with VoiceOver to adjust the granularity of movement while positioning the Playhead no longer causes a Logic is Busy alert or an unexpected hang.
Adjusting the loop length of a Drummer region with VoiceOver no longer causes the loop handle to sometimes jump unexpectedly to the next region in the track.
Score
There is no longer a large unexpected offset when inserting objects into the score in page mode in documents with multiple pages.
Brackets for Guide Accidentals in the Score are again visible as expected.
Track Alternatives
Packing regions into a folder no longer causes Track Alternatives on other tracks to disappear.
Hidden Track Alternatives that are packed into a Folder no longer display in the wrong position when viewed inside the Folder.
Export/Rendering
Bouncing a project while Logic is downloading content no longer sometimes results in bounced files with corrupted audio.
Mono tracks that contain Mono > Stereo plug-ins again playback as stereo after they are frozen.
Takes/Comping
Comping now works correctly when the “Select Tracks on Region Selection” preference is turned on.
Control Surfaces/MIDI Controllers
Waveform zoom again works as expected with Mackie C4 control surfaces.
Logic no longer displays an incorrect “Incompatible EuCon version” error with EuCon software version 3.7.
Movies
Movies now play back when the Show/Hide Movie command is used while the movie preview is closed in the Inspector.
General
MIDI settings for External Instruments that are saved as part of a Patch are now reliably maintained when the patch is reloaded.
Setting a Track Delay on an External MIDI track no longer sometimes affects the timing and note lengths of notes on other tracks.
The note overview of MIDI regions now updates immediately to reflect changes to the region content when Automation is visible.
Notes sent to External MIDI tracks no longer sometimes hang when using Rewind or Rewind by Division when there is a Track Delay set for the External Instrument track.
Custom icons now are reliably sorted into the correct order on Macs with APFS formatted drives.
Logic now successfully creates project backups on macOS High Sierra.
The Musical Grid now shows reliably when it is set as the secondary ruler.

Using the Repeat Regions/Events command after inserting a note with the Pencil tool in the Piano Roll when Link is off and the Library is open.
Opening a project that contains instances of Camel Audio Alchemy 1.5 and Logic Pro Alchemy.
Moving a marquee selected set of flex markers in the Audio Track Editor.
Selecting a newly downloaded Drum Machine patch while the Musical Typing window and Drummer Editor are open.
Logic Pro no longer hangs when importing audio into an independent Project Audio window when no other windows are open.
Logic Pro no longer sometimes hangs when:
Arrowing between certain patches in the Library.
Copying several times to the Tracks area in quick succession.
The Change Gain function is used in the Audio File editor.
Performance
Improves responsiveness of the graphical user interface especially on Retina or other high resolution displays when doing the following:
Resizing windows and areas.
Dragging and trimming regions.
Opening and closing the Piano Roll editor.
Zooming and scrolling in large projects, especially those that contain a large number of flex edits or tempo events.
Stepping through tracks using the up/down arrow keys.
Adjusting parameters of multiple selected events in the Event List when the Step Editor is also open.
Selecting grouped tracks with Flex edits using a EuCon control surface.
Adjusting region borders.

Performance is improved in Alchemy’s Spectral Editor and other real time displays.

Audio quantization in projects that contain a large number of tempo changes is now much faster.
Alchemy
Alchemy adds five new Additive effects: Saw+Noise, Noise, Comb, EQ, Filter, Strum, Ripples plus additional controls for Pulse/Saw.
Alchemy adds 12 new synthesized formant filter shapes.
Alchemy now automatically time aligns sources when morphing.
Alchemy now offers a Tune control in the Noise section.
Alchemy’s modulators now have a new On trigger mode, which allows Effects parameters to be re-triggered on all new MIDI notes.
There are new options in Alchemy’s Note Properties menu, Stepped4, Stepped8 and Stepped16. These options function like the Flip Flop property, but also produce a modulation signal that cycles through equally spaced values between successive notes.
There is now a setting in the Key Trigger menu in Alchemy’s arpeggiator Cycle Reset, that insures the pattern always starts at the first note at step 1 of the sequencer.
The Browser in Alchemy now includes Newer Than and Older Than column options to constrain the preset list based on the installation date of the content.
The default rate for a new instance of the Arpeggiator in Alchemy is now 1/16.
The maximum number of partials in Alchemy’s Great quality mode has been raised from 128 to 256.
Alchemy adds 21 new Arpeggiator presets.
Alchemy’s Additive Effects knobs for Pulse/Saw - Sync, Shift - Pitch and Magnet - Pitch now show semitones when being edited.
Effects in Alchemy’s Effects Rack are now sorted into categories.
Copy/pasted modulations now include the full routings assigned to all associated depth knobs.
Alchemy’s Keyswitching now defaults to KEYSW1 instead of SNAP1.
Alchemy's Zone Editor now handles the display of large numbers of Warp Markers by only showing every 10th markers when there are more than 30 markers to be displayed.
The Alchemy interface now responds instantly to mouse input on wide color P3 displays.
Alchemy uses up to 40% less memory than previous versions.
Apple Loops imported into Alchemy now remain reliably in sync.
When changing from Arpeggiator Snapshot to non Arpeggiator Snapshot and back, the Arpeggiator now is switched back on.
The sound quality of Spectral Stretch has been improved at low speeds.
Auto Gain is now set to Off by default in Alchemy’s Morph XY/Lin mode.
It is now possible to modulate Alchemy’s Keyswitch knob with Arp Mod.
The last step in the Alchemy Argeggiator/Step Sequencer is no longer unexpectedly tied when a MIDI file is imported.
In Spectral mode, adjusting the Simplify control in the Cloud Spectral effect no longer cancels the effect.
Random note property modulators assigned to Keyswitch knobs mapped to samples in Alchemy now properly randomize the keyswitches.
Setting a Comb Filter’s feedback value to 99% or higher in Alchemy’s Delay effect no longer can lead to uncontrolled feedback.
FM Keyfollow now scales properly when two notes are played in a patch with the Voice Count set to 1.
When importing EXS instruments, Alchemy now merges EXS groups that are mapped to the same keyswitch or articulation.
The browser in Alchemy now retains user choices for column selections when switching from one preset to another.
The Waveshaper Bipolar button in Alchemy’s Effects Rack again functions as expected.
Drummer
Switching between Drummer characters during playback no longer sometimes causes Drummer to stop playing until playback is stopped and started again.
The record button on Drum Machine Designer tracks no longer unexpectedly disables when changing drum kits.
The Duplicate Track command now works for Drummer or Software Instrument tracks assigned to Drum Machine Designer or Drum Kit Designer producer kits.
Drum Machine Designer tracks now always appear as expandable Track Stacks in the Tracks Area so that sub-tracks are immediately available for automation or other tasks.
Option-dragging a Drummer or Software Instrument track that uses Drum Machine Designer now correctly creates a Track Stack containing all the kit pieces.
Automation
Automation of grouped tracks now works when Project Settings > MIDI > General > Control Change 7/10 controls Volume/Pan of channel strip objects setting is active.
Region-based automation is now retained when Take folders are unpacked to Track Alternatives.
Automation points no longer sometimes jump to unexpected positions when edited after the Project start position has been adjusted.
Volume automation resets as expected when a cycle returns to the beginning
The relative automation levels are once again maintained when using the Marquee tool to select and adjust automation on multiple tracks at once.
Flex
Audio regions with Flex edits no longer sometimes snap back to their original lengths when divided if Snap Edits to Zero Crossings is enabled.
Velocities for MIDI notes created from Flex Pitched regions are now properly scaled from 0–127.
The Transpose region parameter is now available for flexed regions.
Flex pitched notes no longer appear to shift in pitch when they are grabbed if the Select tracks on region selection preference is enabled.
The pitch of any audio region, not just Apple Loops, can now be transposed or fine-tuned.
Audio regions no longer sometimes shift very slightly in time when Flex Pitch is enabled.
Fades
When the right portion of a crossfade is adjusted, the left region is no longer selected in order to avoid unintended edits to a previous crossfade.
Fades now reliably take immediate effect when created during playback.
Touch Bar
Swiping with two fingers on the Touch Bar in navigation mode now repositions the visible frame without moving the Playhead.
Global key commands are now available in the Touch Bar when there is no open window.
Labels for key commands on the Touch Bar can now occupy two lines, making them easier to read.
The Metronome button on the Touch Bar now dims when the Metronome is disabled and a count-in is enabled.
The Touch Bar drum pad no longer triggers a duplicate C#1 note from the button that should trigger a crash cymbal with a C#2 note.
When the Touch Bar keyboard is set to the melodic Minor scale, certain notes no longer hang when playing a descending scale.
Tapping a key command on the Touch Bar when the Key Commands window is open now selects the command in the window instead of triggering the command.
The Touch Bar now properly displays the glyph for the "Set Locators by Region" key command.
Pressing a modifier key now switched the Touch Bar to display key commands assigned to that modifier.
Takes and comping
The Snap Regions to relative value setting now works inside of Take Folders.
When the right edge of a Take folder is clicked, the display of the unused audio in the current comp no longer sometimes overlaps the next region in the track.
"Flatten and Merge" now works the same whether it is triggered from the widget on the Take Folder or using the key command.
Track Alternatives
Show/Hide inactive Track Alternatives now works on all selected tracks.
It is now possible to rename a Track Alternative by double-clicking its name in the Track Header.
The Deselect All command now deselects all hidden inactive Track Alternatives.
Regions in the currently active Track Alternative are no longer sometimes lost after performing Undo of the command "Copy Selected Regions to Selected Track."
Performing the Repeat Section command no longer causes inactive Track Alternatives to be renamed unexpectedly.
Regions in all tracks of a group are now selected as expected when some tracks have Track Alternatives and others don’t.
Hidden Track Alternatives are now copied as expected when duplicating a track by option-dragging the track to a new empty track.
The Hide all Track Alternatives key command now also works when the currently selected track contains no Track Alternatives.
Track Stacks
Software instrument tracks in duplicated Track Stacks now maintain their correct track names.
Using the "New track with same Channel" command when the last track in a Track Stack is selected now placers the new track inside the Track Stack.
The main track of a Summing Stack no longer doubles the MIDI Thru values for Transpose and Velocity when it is selected.
Track names are now properly retained when Software Instrument track stacks are Option-dragged to copy them.
Mixer
It is now possible to adjust either the pan or spread position of a Stereo Panner using a mouse or swipe gesture on a Magic Mouse, or two-finger swipe on a track pad.
When duplicating a record-armed track, the newly created track is now armed.
There is now audio hardware device control for stereo tracks.
The solo button in the track header is now consistently displayed when a track is set to "Solo-safe
Clicking the solo button in the Track Header of a Solo-safed track no longer disables "Solo-safe."
If there are split stereo files in the project, the Edit menu in the Project Audio window now offers options to disconnect a selected split stereo file, or to reconnect all split stereo files.
The R buttons on armed tracks now continue to blink reliably after recording is started.
A stereo track with a mono plug-in now continues to sound mono when the plug-in is bypassed.
I/O Labels are now associated with their correct hardware Outputs in the New Tracks window.
Patches saved with plug-ins that use Software Instrument tracks as side chain inputs now properly recall the side chain setting when reloaded.
Dual mono plug-ins saved as part of an Aux channel strip setting are no longer converted to stereo when the setting is reloaded.
Loading a patch no longer erases existing track notes in a track.
Dual Mono plug-ins on a track that has been set from stereo to mono now immediately switch to mono mode.
The Create Track command in the Mixer now works reliably.
The dry level for plug-ins inserted on Aux channels serving as summing busses are no longer unexpectedly set to zero when a new channel is routed to that Aux.
The first note played to a Software Instrument channel strip that includes sends no longer includes an unexpectedly large amount of reverb.
Low Latency mode now works as expected on Output channels above Output 1–2 that do not have plug-ins inserted on them.
User patches that include routing to channels that include a slash (/) in their name now load correctly.
Plug-ins
When importing EXS instruments into Ultrabeat, up/down arrows to navigate sample zones are again displayed.
Adjustments to a bandwidth in the Channel EQ made by dragging the vertical helper lines in the interface are now reflected in the channel strip EQ thumbnail.
The Arpeggiator now starts over as expected when it receives a new set of notes while running.
There is now a preference to control whether the most recently used plug-ins are displayed in the plug-in list.
EXS24 now finds sampler Instruments as expected when there is an alias Sampler Instruments folder at the default location linked to a folder on an external drive.
Software Instrument channel strips with a MIDI plug-in inserted no longer sometimes stop playing.
Automatically playing patches now continue to run when the channel strip is not selected.
It is now possible to copy/replace a plug-in in the Sample-Based Processing window by Option-dragging it.
The output resolution for the Modulator MIDI plug-in has been increased.
There is now a dedicated button to toggle Separation in the Surround Panner plug-in.
Undoing a change to the position of a plug-in in a channel strip no longer also undoes the last parameter change performed on a plug-in.
When EXS24 is configured to change instruments when receiving certain MIDI notes, those same notes sent to an instance of Drum Designer no longer cause it to change presets.
Ultrabeat’s Voice Auto Select now works for muted notes.
The EXS24 option "extract MIDI Region from Instrument created from Audio Regions" is now consistently available.
Changing parameter values in Sculpture’s factory default setting now activates the Compare button.
Dragging EXS instrument files from the Finder onto the Ultrabeat interface now shows visible feedback.
Multiple instances of the Modulator MIDI plug-in set to output the Random waveform now each output a different waveform after the project has been closed and reopened.
The timing of the modulation of multiple instances of the Modulator MIDI plug-in now remains reliably in sync.
The Retrosynth plug-in settings now includes a fourth modulation slider and target.
EXS24 now offers a Sample Select Random Offset setting for Groups
The Drum Machine Designer interface no longer changes unexpectedly when a new track is created by double-clicking below the last track in the Track header while Drum Machine Designer is open.
Custom arrangement of cells in Drum Machine Designer is now maintained when user created patches are reloaded.
The decay time in the Correlation Meter plug-in can now be adjusted to Slow, Medium or Fast.
The Loudness Meter now continues to show values after bouncing a project.
Sample Select Random in EXS24 now does a better job randomizing samples when played with velocity values of 127.
EXS24 now shows the correct path to Instruments in cases where there is another Instrument with the same file name in a different folder.
The Ringshifter plug-in now offers controls for Delay Low Cut and Delay High Cut.
Dragging a control after setting it numerically no longer causes the value to jump to its original value in some Logic Pro plug-ins.
The Retro Chorus pedal in the Pedalboard plug-in no longer exhibits excessive warble at higher Depth settings.
When the cursor is hovered over the display area of the Channel EQ, the center handles for all bands are now displayed.
Program changes are now passed to Software Instruments if there are no saved Performance Channel Strip settings.
The MIDI Transposer plug-in now reliably plays the correct notes when a user scale is selected.
The Library now always updates as expected when changing plug-ins while the focus is on the plug-in presets.
Parameters set to read-only in Scripter no longer write automation.
A Scripter parameter defined as Read-Only will no longer write automation data.
Selection-Based Processing
Selection-Based Processing applied to a marquee selected portion of a looped region now only affects the selected area.
Selection-Based Processing now recognizes a marquee selected area that previously saved in a newly opened project.
When canceling a Selection-Based Processing operation using Command–Period (.), the Selection-Based Processing channel strip no longer remains in the Tracks Area.
Global
Setting the beat grouping in the Transport Display Time Signature menu now works as expected.
It is again possible to copy the timecode position of a locked marker.
There is now a visible indication when dragging regions from the Tracks area to the Marker Global Track.
Command-clicking a marker in the Marker track again adds it to the current selection.
Option-dragging a signature again copies it as expected, instead of simply moving it.
Zooming with the mouse scroll wheel no longer deselects items in Global Tracks.
Command-dragging a marker to the time ruler when the Global Tracks are closed now enables Cycle, as well as setting the locators to the range encompassed by the marker.
Dragging markers to the right now works consistently.
Logic Pro no longer quits unexpectedly when naming a marker in the Marker track whose name had previously been removed in the Marker List.
When a new Time Signature is added, the field for the numerator is again pre-selected.
Exporting and sharing
Exported Music XML files are now more compatible with Dorico.
Tempo events are now reliably included in exported MusicXML files.
The dialog asking whether changes made to a project shared to GarageBand for iOS should be imported will no longer be shown again if ‘No’ is chosen the first time it is displayed.
The Filename Example in the Export Track dialog now reflects the actual cycle range values when the "Export Cycle range" option is selected and Bar Range is one of the Elements selected for the Pattern.
File names for exported tracks that include the Bar Name element are now more reliably formatted and sometimes truncated.
It is now possible to bounce with audio tails when bypass effects option is enabled.
Music XML files exported from Logic Pro now include TAB Staff Styles when opened in Dorico.
Bounce-in-place now works for Drum Machine Designer and Drum Kit Designer track stacks.
Bounce-in-place now works for MIDI regions on tracks assigned to auxiliary channels receiving input from a multi-out Software Instrument.
Import
When importing Final Cut Pro XML projects containing multichannel audio files, Logic Pro now reliably maintains channel assignments.
Large Final Cut Pro XML files now load more quickly.
Final Cut Pro XML files now reliably import with the correct Sub-Role Names.
Logic Pro now creates a Summing Stack for each Parent Role when importing FCPX XML files.
It is now possible to import content from a track where the currently active Track Alternative is empty, but other Track Alternatives have content.
When importing a track with assigned sends and take folder regions, the dialog for managing the routing of those sends now appears just once, rather than repeatedly for each take, when you choose to re-route a send to an existing auxiliary.
Logic Remote
The labels for the buttons that halve and double the delay length in the Stereo Delay plug-in are now labeled correctly in Logic Remote.
The Sync Time control in the Tape Delay plug-in is now visible in Logic Remote.
Logic Remote now immediately updates the Track display in the Mixer and LCD after the track order is changed in Logic Pro.
Logic Remote now reliably displays all plug-in parameters.
Control surfaces and MIDI controllers
The Crumar Mojo controller can now be used to control the Vintage Organ.
Accessibility
VoiceOver now accurately states what the Stop/Go to Beginning button will do depending on whether Logic Pro is currently playing or not.
VoiceOver now correctly announces the contents of a cell within the List Editor rather than the title of the column.
It is again possible to select a Drummer using VoiceOver.
Score
The behavior of snapping of objects in the Score is improved.
The Toggle View key command in the Score now toggles between all three available view modes.
Markers are now displayed in the ruler of the Score even when Global Tracks are hidden.
Editing
Adjusting velocity with MIDI Draw now only affects selected notes.
Drum names now display properly in the Piano Roll when zoomed out.
The Event List now updates more quickly to reflect the selection of regions in the Tracks area.
The Select Cable Origin command in the Environment now reliably highlights the cable port on the connected Environment object.
Paste at Original Position again places notes at the expected position in the Piano Roll.
Performing Undo after moving objects in the Environment no longer sometimes causes Smart Controls to be deleted.
Horizontal Auto Zoom now reliably sets the correct zoom level the first time it is used in the Piano Roll.

The Plug-in Manager no longer allows duplicated custom plug-in names.
Changing the Software Instrument plug-in assigned to a track no longer causes controller data on the track to be deleted.
Space Designer can again load plug-in preset files saved to custom locations in Logic 9.
Plug-ins inserted while Logic Pro is recording now become functional when recording is stopped.
Plug-in parameters that are controlled by fader events from the Scripter plug-in now remain functional if the order of plug-ins in the channel strip is changed, or new plug-ins are inserted.

Mixer
The New Track with Next Channel command now retains the input setting from the currently selected track.
Level meters on surround channel strips in the Mixer and Track Header no longer get stuck when playing back a stereo region.
Creating a track stack from tracks that are routed to an Aux that is already assigned to a track now properly maintains the routing to the existing Aux.
The routings of sub-tracks in a summing stack that have outputs routed outside the stack will be properly duplicated when copying the summing stack.
It is again possible to select a single Folder channel in the Mixer.
Tracks created inside a Summing Stack by clicking the + button in the Track Header are now correctly routed to the summing bus.
It is now possible to copy/paste only the plug-ins or only the sends of a channel strip.
Control-clicking a mixer channel strip no longer unexpectedly deselects multiple selected channel strips.
Busses are now listed by name rather than number when the Send or Output slot is clicked.
Bus labels in the Send and Output menus now show the assigned routing.
Busses used for track stack routing are now grouped in a sub-menu labeled with the name of the stack.
When multiple channel strips are selected, Option-clicking a fader or control on one channel will set the control to its default state on all selected channels.
It is now possible to create a new VCA when all tracks are already assigned to existing VCAs.
In cases where multiple channel strips are selected in the Mixer, but only one is selected in the track list, adjusting controls in the Track Header or Channel Strip Inspector will only affect the selected track. Adjusting controls in the Mixer will continue to affect all channel strips selected there.
Creating a surround audio track while the Patch Library is open no longer creates a mono signal path.
It is now easier to rubber-band select the bottom of channel strips in the Mixer without inadvertently moving the faders.
Software instruments can now be directly used as Side Chain inputs.
Auxes created from a surround channel strip are now configured as surround.
When assigning channel strip inputs to busses, the labels for busses that have already been assigned are now consistently displayed.
Global Tracks
The Insert Snipped Section at Playhead command now properly maintains the key signature after the inserted section in cases where the inserted section contains a different key signature.
Transients in the Beat Mapping track now display at their correct positions after the anchor position in the audio file is changed.
The Replace by Average command in the Tempo Track can now be assigned to a key command.
Tempo events with non-integer values are no longer rounded to an integer value when moved to a different time position.
The Glue tool now works on Arrangement Markers.
Editing the time signature in the LCD now changes the current time signature rather than adding a new one at the current playhead position.
The Beat Mapping track now immediately updates when an audio region’s anchor position is changed.
Groove match tracks now reliably maintain their quantization when an Arrangement marker is moved.
The Select All Following command now reliably only selects tempo events that follow the current selection.
Time signature changes now display properly in the Piano Roll and Audio Track editor.
Markers Sets can again be deleted from the Global track Marker Sets menu.
In order to reduce the accidental creation of markers, the feature that enables markers to be created by dragging an active Cycle down to the lower half of the bar ruler now requires the action start from within the Cycle range.
It is now possible to open the Key Signature editor from the Global Signatures track at low vertical zoom levels.
It is again possible to rubber-band select multiple points in the Tempo track and drag or copy them to a new position.
Select All now includes all events in open Global Tracks.
Changing the Time Signature in the LCD again inserts the new Time Signature at the bar containing the current Playhead position.
Editing
When the Select All Following command is used in an editor, markers are no longer also unexpectedly selected.
The command MIDI > Separate by Articulation ID now names the resulting tracks based on the articulation IDs if names are available for them.
MIDI recordings merged to an existing region using the Capture as Recording command no longer deselect the merged region.
It is now possible to unlock SMPTE locked events in the Piano Roll.
Adding MIDI Draw data in the Piano Roll no longer sometimes places the new point at the Playhead, instead of the clicked position.
The repeat function now works for Marquee selections, and for Time Handles in the Piano Roll.
If the playhead is within the bounds of a selected region, a Piano Roll area or window with Content Link mode enabled will consistently show the area around the playhead.
If Catch Playhead in the Piano Roll has been turned off because a region away from the Playhead was selected, it is now automatically turned back on if a region within the range of the Playhead is selected.
Clicking on the Quantize Strength or Quantize Swing slider without moving it in the Piano Roll no longer causes MIDI data to jump to quantized positions.
Notes created with the Pencil tool in the Piano Roll now match the MIDI channel of the previously created note.
The Piano Roll no longer unexpectedly scrolls vertically when toggle recording in cycle mode with drum names displayed.
If regions from both a locked and unlocked track are visible in the Piano Roll, "This track is protected and can't be changed" no longer appears when adjusting a note from the unlocked track.
The Piano Roll display now behaves as expected during recording when the Link button is disabled.
When a Piano Roll is opened after recording, the view now automatically positions and zooms to show the recorded content.
It is now possible to adjust position and length by samples in the Event List when Display Time is set to SMPTE/EBU with Samples and the Event List is set to display Length and position as time.
Applying quantize to SMPTE locked notes in the Event List no longer causes them to shift unexpectedly in position or length.
Setting the start times of multiple selected regions in the Event List now correctly sets the starting times.
It is again possible to use Shift-Option to set multiple selected events to the same value in the Event List.
Editing using the + or - keys to adjust the last clicked value in the Event List now reliably affects the correct field.
The Event Float window now shows SMPTE time when the Event List is set to show Event position and length as time.
When an Event Float window is open, key commands meant for other areas now work correctly.
The text tool now works in Flex Pitch view in the Audio File Editor.
Using the disclosure triangle to close a group in the Project Audio window no longer closes the disclosure triangles for all the audio files inside the group.
It is now possible to start a rubber-band selection below the lowest lane in the Step Editor.
The counter that shows the number of selected events in the Step Editor now immediately updates when the selection is changed.
Automatic Lane Sets for the Step Editor are now available in all templates.
The region header in the Audio Track editor now reliably only shows regions for he selected track.
When choosing patches in a Multi Instrument, the patch names for the currently selected bank are now properly displayed.
It is no longer possible to create objects on the Environment All Objects layer, which could lead to non-functional objects.
Export and rendering
When bounce in place is performed to a new track with the option to bypass plug-ins, the side chain settings for plug-ins are maintained on the new duplicate track.
Bouncing a multichannel software instrument now properly mutes all the source regions for the bounce.
When a project is exported as a MIDI file, alias regions and loops are now included.
Export Selection as MIDI File now remembers the last export location used in the current session.
Logic Pro now exports Final Cut Pro XML version 1.5 files.
Logic Pro now creates 16-bit Apple Lossless files when the PCM bounce option is set to 16-bit.
In projects that start at a position other than 1 1 1 1, exporting a section of the project now exports the correct section.
Creating an Apple Loop from a region no longer unexpectedly disables the Normalize setting in the Bounce Project dialog.
Includes several improvements when exporting MusicXML files.
Bouncing a surround mix while a stereo audio device is active now results in a surround bounce.
When Bouncing in Place to a new track, the newly created track now contains the same VCA assignment as the original.
There is now an option to export a selection as an audio file.
Bounces that include an area of silence no longer sometimes contain a loud click at the start of the silent portion.
Apple Loops can now be converted to CAF files.
Exporting Multi-output instruments that use Auxes no longer unexpectedly adds signal from the Auxes to the main track for the instrument.
Bounced regions now reliably maintain user created names, and when added to a track, the track is named for the region as expected.
When exporting tracks, regions or selections as audio files various new options allow to set up custom file names.
Import
The LCD now reliably shows the correct time signature for MIDI files that are opened directly by Logic Pro.
When a MIDI file is opened as a new Logic Pro project, the time signature information from the MIDI file is now included.
B-format surround files can now be dragged and dropped into the Impulse Response Utility.
Logic Pro can now import Final Cut Pro XML version 1.6 files.
Compressed audio files that are auto converted to PCM are now converted to the audio file recording type.
Logic Pro now properly handles AAF or OMF files that contain tracks with special characters in their names.
Music Memos files imported into a project at a sample rate higher than 44.1 kHz are now converted to the project sample rate.
Importing tracks from other projects during playback no longer causes audio tracks to stop outputting sound.
When importing a large FCPX XML file, Logic Pro now shows a progress bar.
When importing an FCPX XML file with multiple missing assets, there is now an option to Skip All Missing files.
Imported FCPX XML files no longer sometimes have a large number of extra unneeded tracks.
Improves conversion of .LSO files from previous Logic Pro versions.
Writing tempo information to audio files exported from Pro Tools no longer results in a burst of white noise.
Score
Score symbol meta events for all staves now display in Explode Polyphony view.
The contextual menu for assigning colors to notes in the Score now displays the actual color as well as its name.
Multiple Score Sets can now be simultaneously selected.
It is again possible to remove an extension from a chord symbol in the Score.
Undo now works for chord symbol changes in the Score editor.
Notes inserted into the Score with the Pencil in MIDI takes now show up immediately in the Store track view.
Manually degenerated line breaks are now maintained when the zoom level is changed.
In cases where a No line break object is placed at the end of the last region in a track, Page view for the region no longer incorrectly shows unexpected extra brackets with no staff from the end of the region to the end of the project.
It is now possible to insert score symbols to multiple selected regions by pressing Shift while dragging.
When an independent or grace note is inserted at the same position as the first non-independent note after a Clef change, the independent note is now affected by the Clef.
The Score now immediately updates to show changes in selection using the arrow keys.
Dragging the Playhead in a Score window set to linear view now snaps to the Ruler as expected.
There is now a guide line that appears to show when symbols being dragged into the Score are vertically aligned with existing symbols.
Chord grids are now shown at their correct size as they are being dragged into the Score.
The Score project setting Time Signatures: Hide All now works properly to hide user created time signatures.
Right-clicking on Text and Lyrics in the Score now brings up a contextual menu offering options to align the text, adjust fonts and set the text style.
It is now possible to drag instruments to new positions in the Score Sets window.
Time Signatures are no longer displayed too large in Pager view at zoom levels above 150%.
The score window no longer displays unexpected duplicate key signatures in certain rare cases.
Courtesy Signature changes are no longer sometimes displayed to the right of the end of the staff lines.
Manually inserted Clef signs no longer sometimes display to the right of the end of the staff lines.
Control surfaces and MIDI hardware
Faders and buttons on EuCon control surfaces now properly update when quitting Logic Pro.
The Control Surface Install window now shows supported MIDI hardware controllers.
The Arturia KeyLab 25 is now a supported MIDI hardware device.
Logic Remote now includes access to several previously missing parameters in the MIDI Arpeggiator, EFM1, ES1, ES2, and EXS24 plug-ins.
Logic Remote now shows controls for MIDI Mono Mode and Pitch Bend Range on EFM1.
Logic Remote now shows controls for MIDI Mode and Filter Boost on ES1.
Logic Remote now shows controls for MIDI Mono Mode and Pitch Range on ES2.
Logic Remote now shows controls for MIDI Mono Mode, Pitch Range, LFO Triangle Shape and Prev/Next Instrument.
Logic Remote’s track selection arrows now update properly when tracks are dragged to new positions in Logic Pro.
Pressing Save As on Logic Remote while Logic Pro already has an open Save dialog no longer causes multiple unwanted Save dialogs to appear.
Selecting the Stereo Out channel strip in Logic Remote no longer selects an unexpected track in Logic Pro.
Video
It is now possibly to automatically scale the size of a video window by double-clicking its header.
A long click on a movie thumbnail now reveals the movie’s position.
Export Audio to Movie with the AAC format selected now works reliably after the first export.
Movies with MPEG2 or AC3 encoded audio tracks can again be loaded into Logic Pro projects.
Manually punching in and out in Replace Mode with Cycle on now erases the existing region as expected.
Synchronization
MIDI Clock is now transmitted at the correct time when Logic Pro is in Low Latency Mode.
MIDI
In cases where there are more than 64 MIDI input ports on the Physical Input, MIDI coming into port 65 or higher is no longer incorrectly routed to port 1 and up.
The timing of MIDI tracks sending MIDI externally has been improved.
Sounds and content
The selection in the Sound Library no longer sometime unexpectedly jumps when using the arrow keys to stop through sounds for Drum Machine Designer kit pieces.
General
If the Time Ruler is set to show time, its format now reflects the Display > General > Show Time As preference setting.
It is again possible to automate plug-in parameters on tracks that are frozen in Source Only mode.
A right-click on a Marquee selection no longer unexpectedly divides the selection.
It is now possible to select multiple Alternatives in the Edit Alternatives window.
The Done button in the Project Audio’s Add Audio File dialog no longer changes to Add if some files are selected and then removed from the list of files to be added.
The state of individual disclosure triangles in the Inspectors are now maintained if the Inspector is hidden and then shown again.
The SMPTE time shown in the LCD display now properly matches the SMPTE time shown in the Tempo Editor and Tempo Operations window.
The Record Ready buttons in the Tracks area now reliably blink in sync with the corresponding buttons on the Mixer.
The options shown when pressing the Export button in the toolbar now match those shown when choosing File > Export from the main menu.
A separate zoom memory is now maintained for each window in cases where multiple windows of the same type are open.
If a folder that contains a single track is selected in the Tracks area, editors that have content-link enabled now show the contents of the track.
Dragging a track to a position next to a summing stack no longer sometimes incorrectly places it inside the summing stack.
Packing tracks that are inside a stack into a folder no longer creates an unneeded copy of the main track of the stack inside the folder.
When a Main window is closed, the Snap Regions to Relative Value vs. Snap Regions to Absolute Value setting is now maintained when a new Main window is opened.
The settings chosen in the Notes Crossing Split Point dialog, the Paste on Multiple Tracks dialog, and the Set All Tracks to Write dialog now persist after relaunching Logic Pro.
A marquee selection that starts at the left edge of a MIDI region, and splits a note, now properly triggers the Notes Crossing Split Point dialog.
The labels for tick marks in the Time ruler now follow the Division format setting.
Using the Fade tool on a track assigned to a phase locked editing group now applies the fade to all tracks in the group.
Capture Recording now properly merges with existing regions when the Project Recording setting for Cycle mode is set to Merge.
Deleting a track no longer also deletes Auxes that were added to the project with the track as part of a patch, if the Auxes have been assigned to tracks in the project.
Undoing the creation of a Drum Machine Designer instance now works correctly.
The MIDI region transpose setting is no longer unexpectedly reset to 0 after creating an overlapping MIDI recording in Merge mode.
Canceling the division of a MIDI region by Marquee selection no longer sometimes causes the region to be deleted.
It is again possible to toggle the Metronome click on and off during audio recording when the Metronome is in simple mode.
The Fade tool now works reliably to create fade-outs on grouped tracks regardless of the zoom level.
The correct order of tracks is now reliably maintained when recording multiple passes of several tracks in cycle mode with the Create Tracks or Create Tracks and Mute recording option.
It is now possible to load an alternative or backup by double-clicking it in the Select Alternative and Backup dialog.
Performing Undo after using Repeat in the Main window now maintains the region selection.
Values in the Region Inspector can again be set to their defaults by highlighting and deleting them, and then pressing Return.
Snap to zero crossings now applies when audio regions are divided by cutting with the Scissors tool, clicking on a Marquee selection, double-clicking a Marquee selection, or Region trim.
When record-replacing audio in cycle mode, the region to the right of the cycle area is no longer sometimes selected when recording is stopped.
Performing undo after dragging a plug-in to a different channel strip no longer also undoes the last parameter change applied to a plug-in.
MIDI regions created by manually punching in on top of an existing region in replace mode now play back as expected.
The Apple Loop variation drop-down menu no longer sometimes shows unrelated loops with similar names.
Regions moved by using the Move to original record position command no longer sometimes overlap other regions if No Overlap mode is active.
Replace mode is now automatically deactivated if the Replace button is removed from the Control Bar.
It is now possible to open a Project settings window while a Preferences window is already open.
The key commands to zoom individual tracks now apply to all selected tracks.
Data is now placed at the correct position when the Paste at Original Position command is used in projects that start at positions other than 1 1 1 1.

It is no longer possible to drag the Marquee selection to a point earlier than the project start.

Copying a region to the left of a Take folder no longer sometimes causes the Take folder to unexpectedly be deleted when No Overlap mode is active.
It is no longer possible to inadvertently change the lengths of regions inside a closed Track Stack.
The Project Management > Cleanup command no longer removes audio files that belong to other Project Alternatives.
When duplicating a track with its content, the new track now contains copies of the original regions instead of aliases.
The Play from Selection key command now responds to selected Flex pitched notes in an audio region.
Zoom to fit key commands now work properly when used on a marquee selected area.
When splitting a region with Clip Length on that contains MIDI CC data that is all to the left side of the split, the new region to the right of the split point now includes a MIDI CC message of the correct value to ensure it plays back the same as before the split.
Crossfades can now be applied to multiple selected regions by swiping from right to left.
Fade in and Fade outs can now be applied to multiple selected regions on the same track with the Fade Tool.
Undoing the creation of an Audio track no longer sometimes leads to the unexpected selection of a track inside a closed stack.
Using the Record repeat key command no longer sometimes causing recently recorded regions to be deleted if the track volume is adjusted during recording.
Dividing an audio region in which the region Anchor is not placed at the beginning no longer sometimes causes an unexpected gap between the two resulting regions.
It is again possible to set the audio input device to None.
Gluing interleaved surround regions no longer results in a mono file.
It is now possible to navigate the options in the Startup dialog using the down and up arrow keys.
It is now possible to set a default configuration for the Track Header.
When Select Unused is chosen in the Audio File Browser, deleting the files only deletes files that are not used in any other project Alternatives. Files used by an Alternative are removed from the current Alternative’s Audio File Browser, but are left on the hard drive.
The Option key can now be used to access the Loop tool when track automation is visible.
The Recent Projects list in the file selector now shows projects saved to iCloud.
Zoom to Fit now works properly when track automation is visible
Plug-ins can now be inserted while playing when Quick Punch-In is active.

Auto-zoomed tracks no longer grow in size after automation view is enabled and then disabled.
The Solo tool now works properly with Force Touch track pads.
The effect of changes made to the region gain while in play will now be heard without having to start and stop playback
Looped regions can now be dragged by long-clicking on either the region or one of the loops.
