Define image settings in System Image Utility on Mac
In the System Image Utility app on your Mac, use the Image Settings pane to configure image settings, such as network disk name, image description, and image index number. The available options depend on the type of image you are creating.
Network Disk | A name for the disk image. This name identifies the image in the Startup Disk preferences pane. | ||||||||||
Description | Notes or other information to help you characterize the image.The description information doesn’t appear on the client Mac but rather on the NetInstall server. | ||||||||||
Image index | Choose how you want to assign an image number:

Include macOS Recovery Partition | Select this option to include a macOS Recovery partition on the disk image. This option is available only for NetRestore images. | ||||||||||
Volume | A name for the volume. This option is available when you are creating a NetRestore image from a macOS install app or a NetBoot image. |
