Motion filters that process in SDR

When a filter that processes only in standard dynamic range (SDR) is applied to an image or clip in a Motion project (with Automatic color processing), the image is tone mapped to SDR levels, processed by the filter, then automatically inverse tone mapped to high-dynamic-range (HDR) levels. In some cases, applying filters to a bright PQ clip (with peak luminance levels greater than 1,000 nits), may result in clipping of the image (or dimming of the project output).

The following Motion filters process in SDR:

Border filters: Bevel

Color filters: Brightness, Color Balance, Color Reduce, Colorize, Contrast, Gamma, Gradient Colorize, Hue/Saturation, Negative, OpenEXR Tone Map, Sepia, Threshold, and Tint

Looks filters: All Looks filters

Masks and Keying filters: Matte Magic and Spill Suppression

Sharpen filters: Sharpen and Unsharp Mask

Stylize filters: Add Noise, Bad Film, Bad TV, Circle Screen, Comic, Edges, Halftone, Hatched Screen, Highpass, Indent, Line Art, Line Screen, MinMax, Posterize, Relief, Texture Screen, and Vignette
